Scorpius knocked, dreading this meeting. He had rewritten the report, but had been having trouble with smiling, nodding, and telling people what they wanted to hear. It wasn't the way he wanted to do it. Oddly, he wasn't trying to defend himself. He knew it was the wrong choice to make.
He handed Harry the report, and waited quietly like he was told.
The subject in this instance knew that he was ill, although not to the degree that he was upon return to the manor. It caused a full panic attack. He had told others that he wished to leave, and was actually seen doing so by the elves of the manor. He was not taken by force, although they could not stop him. It is my belief that the Aurors called, were wasted in this instance over the fact that he was simply the minister's grandson.
The potential risk of him getting kidnapped from his home was lower at that time, and given the fact that he was seen does indicate that he did leave of his own free will and not by force.
While the subject maintains that he was in the wrong completely, and he would not repeat such action, it was still within his right to do so, even against the wishes of his family. He has learned from such irrational actions and does regret the trouble that he caused, and will exhibit more self-control in the future.
He wasn't sure what Potter would think. He had been good to Scorpius while he had stayed with Al for the week, although they didn't speak much. He only hoped that the man would realize that the words were much less of a justification than they would appear. He waited for the critique fingering over the amulet around his neck.
