"I'm open to suggestion," he sighed. "I've no idea what I'm doing with any of this." He just knew that he couldn't lose this, couldn't let Regulus go so long as they had what they had together. This was too much of a once in a lifetime connection for him to let it slip through his fingers. Giving up wasn't the only option he wasn't open to hearing.
Listening to James, Remus was reminded again why he and Sirius were such a good match. They even sort of sounded alike once they started going on something they felt passionately about. "If I thought he'd even listen to the option, I'd have asked him to make it legal already."
And it hit him them that he really and truly meant it.
For all that he'd panicked at the thought of being married to Tonks when he first came back, there was none of that in the thought of spending the rest of his life with Regulus. "But, I can't ask him to give up his traditions for me," he insisted, though if that was to convince James or remind himself, he wouldn't want to say right then. "No, they mean too much to him and it would only end up making him resent that he gave them up for me if I pushed for it."
