Ron knew the kids were coming home tonight. His Hugo and Rosie would be home in time for dinner. The entire day he couldn't help but smile occasionally as he thought that, for a week, his children would be home.
However, about two hours before he was due to be home, paperwork that needed to be completed came in, and Ron knew they were things that needed to get done right away.
Finishing everything up, and only about half-an-hour later than he intended to leave, Ron packed his belongings, and apparated home.
The smell was wonderful. He knew it had to be Rosie, as (no-offense to his wife) Hermione just couldn't cook as well as Rosie could. "Something smells good in here." Ron said, putting his briefcase by the door, and walking into the kitchen to give his kids a hug.
He found Hugo first, and he pulled the boy in for a big hug and to ruffle his hair. He then saw Rosie, and Bryn. He was a little surprised to find Bryn here, but he walked over to the young couple and kissed his daughter on the head while reaching his hand out to shake Bryn's. "Good to see you again, Bryn."
He was a bit curious as to why Bryn was here, but he figured that Rosie invited him for dinner. They were friends after all.
