Sirius reminded himself that it would be counterproductive to argue right at this moment, and as much of a stubborn arse he was he could be he could on occasion reign it in. He just nodded, letting Regulus knew he understood, because he felt like anything he said right then was only going to drag this out longer than it needed to be.
"I know you will." He knew his brother cared, knew it even when he said he didn't - but that was Sirius always going too far, he couldn't help it - especially not when he let his emotions get the better of him.
He hadn't expected Regulus to grab him the way he did, but it had the desired effect. "I know you're not." It wasn't an apology, the apology Regulus deserved, but being close like this laying out all their issues in front of James and Remus, it rubbed him wrong - he didn't like them seeing this. "You were always better than them."
