"Incredibly effective. Much more fun than some of the more popular spells today - It's not like they require skill," she said with a small sigh of dismay. It had been fun to see who had the ability to cast complex spells and who didn't. "There's nothing wrong with a good upbringing, Sirius. It's better than some of the witches I've seen who look as if they've been literally dragged up."
She nodded, remembering Stephen telling her about a hex that had affected two Purebloods, a Halfblood and a Muggle. She guessed from the mention of James and Scorpius that this was the curse he had been talking about. "Was, perchance, Stephen Nott the Healer in charge?" she asked, wanting to know if she was right.
"Love can blossom out of the most unlikely matches," she said simply. "I was brought up in a very different time to you. My father would not have tolerated any of his sons shirking their duty to the family line. It's just how I think," she said with a small shrug.
