Snape felt the tension ebb from Al, and permitted himself a small, relieved smile. "Anytime," he breathed, and actually meant it.
In response to Al's rare expression of emotional response to the Death Eaters, Snape replied simply, "And I've dedicated my life to stopping them - and Riddle."
At the mention of Mandy's library, Snape nodded. "I noticed the titles when I was in the pensieve." He doubted Harry had taken as close note, but then, the man hadn't really ever seemed to share Snape's obsession for research, especially into matters mental. Though Snape had to admit - if only to himself - that the heavy preponderance of Muggle titles hadn't conveyed as much to Snape as he'd hoped. "How closely have you examined it? Did she loan you any books? I wonder if the Death Eaters stole any of them. I wonder if it might be worthwhile to compare the shelves in the Pensieve with their state now."
