Harry watched with surprise as Al put his memories into the pensive, giving him a look of apprehension. "Al-" He hesitated because he really wasn't sure about this. "Are you sure?" he asked. "That's supposed to be private." He hated feeling like he was prying, but then could he be sure that Al would know what was important and what wasn't?
"I'm sorry," he said. "I hope you know that I would never do this if it wasn't necessary. I don't like prying into your personal life." He sighed and looked over at Snape. "Three meetings means three hours, we should probably sit down."
He took a deep breath. "Let's hope that she was consistent with using only letters for names, while assuming that she was not. And right now, I think the most important part is how to guarantee safety for the both of you, and to make sure that you aren't used against each other." Or rather that Al wasn't used against Severus, for he had no doubt of who the larger target was. And this would have been simpler if there was no relationship, but now that there was, they'd all have to adapt.
