Re: Peter - Sirius - Onlookers? Referees?
Peter didn't think he breathed for the entire three minutes this took place in. He silently urged Sirius to go ahead and do it, end it once and for all, but then he could breathe again and James was there. Sirius' brat of a husband urged him away, and Peter found himself following prongs. He felt distant from his body, but already he could feel the itch of guilt creeping along the back of his neck, and he knew he needed to get out.
He wrenched his arm from James' grip. "I'm sorry," he mumbled, not looking at James. "I'm sorry for everything." And then he took off, not looking behind him and managing to avoid everyone else.
Jacob his mind though, Jacob could help. He'd seen the man go off after the meeting, but he needed him. Needed the release he could provide.
