It was a brilliant idea, not that he had really thought of it as that. It was simply a gift that he had seen in a display window. It was a decision made on the spur of the moment, but it gave them a nice push, back into what they had once.
He traced a finger down Lori's chest as they kissed. When they broke apart he smiled. It felt normal, and right. "Let's not lose any more time," he said, deciding that was the right attitude. His eyes were still a little sad but not so distant. They were hopeful.
"Let's eat, and then let's go - watch TV, or something like that." The smirk came back as well. They had a habit of ignoring the TV, getting lost in just being together instead. It was time to get the rush back.
