He was still feeling unsettled after his encounter with Dylan, and his head was still a mess. He'd thought a lot about his relationship with Scorpius, analyzing his feelings, and he still came up empty. He enjoyed being with Scorpius, liked the sex, more than enjoyed their dates and the kissing. It just seemed like something was missing, but he didn't know what, didn't know if it was the mistrust between them, or if it had been there all along, and it had taken his colossal mistake to bring it up.
He also knew they would have to talk about this, but tonight he wasn't ready. Not after hearing about Scorpius' grandfather. This particular conversation could wait a night. Right now he just needed to be there for Scorpius, support him and comfort him.
He opened the door to Scor, and the sight of him maed his heart constrict. He looked so sad and alone, but was obviously glad to see him. He reached out and squeezed Scorpius' hand. "I missed you too," he said with a small smile of his own, and it was true. "Come in, I made us some soup and toasted cheese sandwiches for dinner."
