Remus nodded, in full agreement with Sirius on that point at least. Harry needed more than three days' break. Perhaps for his birthday that summer they should kidnap him and leave him somewhere for a couple weeks, somewhere far away from Britain. If Remus' wasn't off on his own European adventure, of course.
If Remus got his European adventure that summer.
"Quiet will drive a person mad," he remarked in response to the comment on the house. Not that he meant the house. He'd liked the house, the quiet of it, when there'd just been the two of them in the library. It was more recent silence driving him 'round the twist. Huffing irritably, he glared mildly at his friend. "Someone has to be this stubborn to get around your stubborn."
His retort was cut short as Remus noticed the sounds from our in the corridor at about the same time Sirius did. "We're in the dungeons. Most Slytherins aren't stupid enough to cause a disturbance outside their Head of House's office," he said dryly, setting his stout aside and getting up from the couch to investigate, "which is right next door. And those aren't students' voices."
