"I never said that you are a war hero, but that's how people see you, and while some things are tied to your age, the way people see you is an objective one that transcends your age or experience, and since people do view you as such, then pity is hardly a normal response." He knew that his little speech reflected just how uncomfortable he was at the moment. Formal edicts were for the people at large, and not something that he used with Remus.
"You're hardly going to get those looks from me when I can barely remember you are a werewolf," he said. "Besides, if I met a blind person, I'd see how much I could take before tripping him. It's not my fault that he has weaknesses that can be exploited," he added with a smirk.
Regulus squeezed Remus' hand. "This isn't about knowing. It's really not very common to have such a reaction. It's not that I don't believe you, it's just... difficult to comprehend that anyone would have that reaction."
He shook his head. "I wasn't blaming. It was more an assessment of the situation. One spell does not cause that much damage in such short time, Remus. There was something that made her susceptible, and while you don't want to think about the 'whatever', I'm rather interested, especially because we are training her brother and giving him a very extensive knowledge. I'd hate to see that knowledge used against us."
