"No, you asked me if I wanted you physically, and I'd think from the fact that we've had sex would answer that. I wouldn't have done that if I didn't want you," he said quietly, wishing he could take everything back and make it all right again. "And it's not about wanting him more or you less. I can't answer that, because I don't know how to quantify feelings. I know that I want to be with you, and all that implies."
He sighed, and bit his lip. If the circumstances were different he'd ask Scorpius to stay, but right now he knew that wasn't the smartest thing to do. "Your parents love you, Scorpius, I know they do. They're just...they have standards that are ridiculously high. I'm sorry they kicked you out, but that's not a reflection on you. It's reflection on them."
He glanced down, and ran a hand through his hair. It felt heavy, and it took all his concentration not to faceplant on the bed and sleep for a week. It was clear he wouldn't be able to for quite some time, and he took a vial of energy potion from his bedside drawer. It wasn't the ideal solution, and they tasted vile, but it would get him through today and tonight.
"I don't know if my being there would be a good thing, or a bad thing. But if you want me there I'll be there." He didn't know if it was a statement or a press conference, but a press conference would take longer to put together.
