"Perhaps a bit of one, yes." Shaking his head, Alastor shrugged as best he could with his arms around her. "Times change. More for some of us than others," he added with an amused huff.
He didn't say anything about Pettigrew. It was good that he was getting his act together and working to fix the mistake he'd made. But, 'just a boy' was hardly an excuse. Voldemort was 'just a boy' and younger than Pettigrew to boot.
"Couldn't let you lot come on your own," he grumbled, though there was no heat in it. "Who knows what trouble you and the Old Man would have talked everyone into?"
Still, the music was ending, thankfully, and therefore so also the dance -- not that he would ever admit it hadn't been as bad as he liked to make out. If they could get out of here, Alastor was all for it. "Come on, let's gather up the kids before they get themselves into some of that trouble I mentioned."
