Marlene could sense something... a hesitation maybe, and it was reflected in the question. She smiled and nodded. "Yes, it is," she said in a more serious tone. "I'm not saying that you're like Alastor or Kings or Emm. I've known Alastor since we were eleven, grew up together, went through training together. He's my best friend and family all wrapped in one. Emm and Kings, I've known for almost as long. So no, you aren't like them, but you are one of us now, and I told you that we take care of our own."
She kissed his cheek, before starting to dance, or possibly move carefully to the music because if she went down too much her dress would rise up. Instead her hips gyrated to the rhythm of the music, pressing against his crotch at random moments. "The only thing you have to worry about is how much you can stand dancing with me," she said, winking at him.
