Dylan shrugged. "If you need to lie to feel better it's your business," he said. "And that's what privacy spells are for," he added. But perhaps that was just him being paranoid enough to think to use them.
The question was interesting though. Was he excited? Pleased, yes, but excited? The way he had when he first found out, before the house burnt down? No he couldn't say he was. Pleased, determined, focused, proud - excited? Not that much. "It's just some tests. I'll pass, I'll get onto Homicide and continue on the task force and do what I've been doing so far. Not much of a difference other than being able to go when there is an attack."
Dylan looked at him. "You're starting to sound like Cass," he said. "Soon you'll be walking around with sobering potions in your pocket." Which judging from last night he should do, and it wasn't as if drinking in public didn't make him itchy and nervous - he was just intent on ignoring it.
