Stephen wanted to know just why this particular dinner was so important that he had received an owl about it. It wasn't as if he skipped dinner unless there was something at St. Mungo's. So there had to be something, and he'd meant to ask, but then he'd forgotten, because in the end, he didn't really care.
Tonight, he finally got around to asking the house elves, because they knew more than they said most of the times, and groaned when he heard about guests.
He went downstairs, knowing that it would take ages before his mother would be ready. "No, thanks." Alcohol made you gain weight and he hadn't had much time to exercise lately. "So who exactly are these guests and why is my presence so important?"
