"Jamie, I can't," he said. "I hate the idea of you taking anything from him but I can't take Ministry property. Now I can try to persuade the Minister to let you have one, but that's another matter entirely. She might agree."
He smiled. "Maybe not, but then I have you for that. Maybe I should just hire you as my own personal PR consultant?" he joked, though he did worry, because how could he not? "Just don't invite Voldemort for dinner over the weekend. If anything happens while I'm away I'm never taking a vacation again, just so you know. Stay safe." He sighed, but refrained from leaning over and kissing the top of Jamie's head. In private he would, but they were in the office now and he'd not do that to his son.
"I should head back to the office. And remember what I said. Give it a proper chance. See what you think. In the end you'll always have my support no matter what."
