James smirked. "I thought if I started to talk to him, and if he wanted to have dinner with me so badly, then he had to provide me with a way to talk. Another watch was as good a way as any to stay in touch," he pointed out.
He nodded. "I just need a watch. I'm not asking him for a romantic vacation for two. You get that, right?"
He shrugged again. "You might not have, but it's a concern, one that you should have. I don't want to cause a problem for you or anyone else here." He looked at his father. "I guess I'll send uncle Ron the request in triplicate, and see when I can take those tests."
