Regulus turned his head long enough to smile at Remus. If there was brooding later on, he'd be pissed off, because none of this was unexpected. They would just have to deal with it.
"It's not a problem," he answered, to both of them. "And there's nothing to figure out. We'll do it wherever he wants me to do it. We'll use both Severus and Sirius as an excuse, and people will think whatever they want. I won't confirm or deny. It's inevitable and I knew it the day I made my choice."
He snorted. "The Shack? Even if it were secure, which I doubt, I'm not working in those conditions. I'm not expecting gold utensils for tea, but at least a clean room, and I can't imagine Jacob would like it there." He looked at Severus. "I met him at the hospital, when he arrived. I tried to convince him that it made no sense to follow him. I guess he learnt eventually. I also got a letter from Bella. She's trying to convince how brilliant he is. There might have been mention of dinner if things had been different. As you can imagine, I did not accept the invitation."
