Since Harry didn't sit, neither did Peter. The longer they stood there the more jittery he got. He also didn't know what Harry wanted from him. He wasn't going to tell the man about his regrets, or the way Jacob had taken advantage of him and he'd allowed it to happen. Didn't think Harry would care.
Instead he just jerked a shoulder up, trying not to let his uncertainty show. He didn't want to offer any weaknesses. This wasn't Dumbledore or Remus, or Marlene, who would listen to what he had to say with compassion. He saw how Harry tried to hide his disgust, but it wasn't completely successful. It reminded him of how his father used to look at him.
He pushed his glasses up, and kept his gaze on the wall behind Harry's left shoulder. "They weren't wrong," he said finally.
