"I can't say that there hasn't been a time or ten that I've thanked our lucky star for how Stephen has turned out." Though their skill at raising their children had done little when it came to saving Charlotte's life. He pushed that thought aside for now.
Theo chuckled. "I have been rather preoccupied with making sure the board approves it," he said with a grin. "And I wanted to give Stephen a chance if he wanted to, but yes, I can concede to having waited a bit too long."
"He has a new friend, I suspect," he said. "He been spending a lot of time at Hogwarts," he explained. "At first I thought it was because he's studying with the Headmaster, and then of course there was Potter, but he has been logged there at times when I know the Headmaster has been busy with other things." He shrugged. "I have to admit I'm rather curious to whom in the staff he has befriended, though I suppose it will be harder now when access will be more limited."
He smiled at his wife. "You do know you're perfect, don't you?" he said. "You always did know how to make connections."
