"It would be strange if they hadn't. Scorpius has been getting himself into a lot of trouble." Personally he thought Scorpius needed to learn how to get a clue and fast, or he would surely end up dead sooner rather than later, but that was a thought he did not utter, at least not at this point. "Hopefully he's learnt from his mistakes and will get in less trouble now," he said. He certainly hoped so, for Draco's sake.
He wrapped his arms tighter around Pansy when she went on, closing his eyes for a moment. It was rare that anyone got to see this side of him, but his wife was the exception. "You would have, because you're a stronger woman than you know," he said. "But luckily we don't have to. We have a smart boy, he keeps out of trouble."
"Did I tell you that he petitioned the board to start a new speciality at St Mungo's?" he asked with a proud smile. "He has not even finished his own speciality yet but he's already making headway. He'll get it of course," he said. "I've been leaning on the board to approve it, there are still a few members resistant to change - especially from someone who is not finished with his specialisation, but I'm working on that."
"You couldn't ask what I think to be his mistress out for tea one day, get some information to be used," he said with a smirk. "She's one of us of course, or I would not suggest it. They've been keeping things very quiet, but you could surely get more information out of her than anyone else." He had no doubt in his wife's abilities, for she was a formidable woman.
"Speaking of tea and contacts. Our three latest arrivals ought to interest you. One is Belvina Black, one of the Black's from the 19th century, then we have Vance and McKinnon, both from old families. McKinnon dresses absolutely outrageously, but she is from an old powerful family. The Vances have always been influential even if they don't have money. Of course they are Aurors so I do understand if you'd rather not, but they were in deep in the war so they might be useful in the future."
