"Yes, but what they do the entire month. Nothing. A few days were enough for me to see that. I'm sure they are overworked when the full moon hits, but instead of sitting around for a month, you keep a small investigative team for the entire month, and put the other Aurors back on the force during the full moon. It'll free you men during the month, and it will give them experience in other fields," she pointed out.
She sighed again, knowing that Alastor would kill her for this. "One, because he can track down anything. Two, because tracking down Voldemort is something that requires a different set of skills. You aren't looking for clues. You're getting to think like him. Alastor doesn't have that temperament. It's like when you go undercover. You don't just pretend to be someone else. You become someone else. This is what the person in charge of that task force must do. He needs to become Voldemort, he needs to get so deep into his head that he thinks it's Voldemort. The person in charge also needs to now when to stop, which is something that Alastor has a problem with. He will also need you to pull him out of head space, because Sir, that's the biggest mind fuck you'll ever see. Suddenly you're not an Auror, but a criminal, a Death Eater, a Dark lord, whatever, and you need to know how to step back from that. It's not an easy skill."
She smiled. "Three, because you have a lot of bloody murders and Alastor can find you who did it, and then we can get those bastards. He's wasted on the task force. Finding Voldemort is nice, but it's long term. Cut down his supporters and then you have your wins, and he can do that for you."
