Laughing, Alastor answered grin with matching grin. "Of course it does. My day is not complete unless I've hexed at least three people, broken at least one object of some value, and sent no fewer than six people scurrying for cover."
Though he didn't say it, Alastor thought that was half the reason they got on so well. For all that he blustered about with his sharp-edged exterior, she wasn't afraid to stand up to him and knock him down a peg or two when he needed it. And, for all her blunt, no holds barred attitude about things, he wasn't afraid to treat her like a lady. "Something come up that kept you? Or, are you just remembering what it's like to be on duty and loving it?"
He followed her to the picnic area she'd arranged, a bemused smirk forming a he saw it. There wasn't anything he could argue about the lack of security most places. "I think you've confused me with one of them fancy boy interns trying to get into your knickers," he snorted, settled with his back against the tree, smirk morphing into open disgust at the thought of that sort of 'food'.
