RP: Remus/Regulus Who: Remus Lupin and Regulus Black Where: Hogwarts, Regulus' Quarters When: Wednesday, 3 March, 2025 evening Rating/Warnings: Summary: Remus wanders down to bowels of the castle.
Remus' conversation with Alex, combined with the recently passed Full, made him restless that afternoon. Though he'd spent his time in his office after as usual, he wasn't making much headway in marking essays. He wasn't in the right mindset to work on translating some more of the Taliesin, which had seemed to absorb all of his focus in the evenings if he found himself with time on his own.
So, rather than sit and drum his fingers on a chair arm, he decided to walk about the castle.
Remus had always loved walking the castle on Prefect rounds. The students were in their common rooms or the library if it was prior to the curfew for upper forms. It was quiet, only the occasional ghost passed in hushed corridors. Unless one had the misfortune to run across Peeves. It was good for thinking. Not the brooding sort of thinking, but the castles in the air, imagining sort of thinking.
Of course, he shouldn't have been surprised when he found his wanderings had taken him down toward the dungeons. He'd been avoiding this part of the castle, not wanting their newest resident to have any reason to suspect he and Regulus were more than colleagues. But, as he had just spoken to Alex, he could always say he was consulting with Professor Black on the issues surrounding the discontinuation of the Wolfsbane study.
Knocking on the door, he waited for admittance before grinning and saying, "Good evening. I was wandering the castle and found myself here. So, I thought I'd say hello."
