She glared at him. "Are you seriously going to mention Emmeline at me? She came back after me and that was after you got her, and how exactly is you creating a team that reports to you proof that you don't run the division, huh? If anything, that just proves my point. Shit happens and they expect you to deal with it. Fine, Potter was done, but that means that whoever has his place should be doing it, not you."
Marlene growled. He was so aggravating. "Don't you even dare. Just read the reports? You're still in charge, because the person in charge isn't the one on the bloody field. If he is, he's doing it wrong." She raised her arms and let them drop on her lap. "You were consulted for the Ministry, but it wasn't your call. Tell me do you even have a team to deal with the security of the Heads or are you consulted on that too? More importantly, do they have people in charge of all of these so called teams, or do they consult you?"
She snorted. "Right, and the training is necessary as well. Did anyone consult you on whether sleep is necessary too? Or did they skip that part? You did not get this tired by looking at papers, Alastor. No way that you could have been that week simply because you were behind a desk reading papers. So you can justify it anyway you want it, but we both now that it's not the case. What Potter did is the equivalent of the D man declaring that I'm in charge of finding Voldemort, and that's just unacceptable."
She shook her head. "Of course not, but there's a difference between being good and being God. Yes, it's only a vowel, but the meaning is a lot more than that." She grinned when he started to laugh. "You'd be upset if I didn't."
Marlene nodded. "I know it is." She just didn't think she could work for a man who seemed to have his head up his arse and got his subordinates hurt. "You'll have to put up with me whether you like it or not. I told you, I'm babysitting you until you're better. Now be a good boy and eat."
