Without heirs, a family dies out or is forced to marry those of lesser blood," Belvina said as they moved through the Alley, walking in a way that made men stare at her hips swaying. She laughed softly. "I should hope so. Tell me, are the wizards today any good at this so-called Defence? Can they stop some of the spells I know?"
