"It isn't, no, but then what good comes out of such a reunion? No children, no heirs, no family line. It's selfish," she said simply. "They could both marry, have children and still have their relationship should they both choose. It would be much more beneficial for both families."
"Defence?" She made a noise of disdain, her face looking haughty. "You must learn to cast a spell before you can hope to defend it."
She was quiet as they flew out of Hogwarts and then Apparated to London. It felt like forever since she'd flown and she closed her eyes in pleasure, feeling the wind whip through her hair. If there was anything about this time that felt better, it was the sense of independence she felt. It was new and liberating.
"Very much so," she said once he asked his question, turning on the spot as she took in the hustle and bustle of Diagon Alley. "Perhaps not as much as I feared aesthetically but it's much busier than I remember and the robe designs are practically scandalous for young witches. Not that I ever came to Diagon Alley much, definitely not without a chaperone of some sort. Sirius was forever hexing people if they stared too long," Her lips twitched into a smile. "These days are very different."
