RP Ginny & Mandy
Who: Ginny Potter, Mandy Brocklehurst
Where: Mandy's office
When: February 26th, 2025
Rating/Warnings:
Summary: Ginny goes to visit Mandy.
Ginny had left dealing with the aftermath of her and Al's conversation until after the funeral. She was too busy making sure her mum was all right and, as her anger had grown upon reflection of the situation, she didn't trust herself not to hex Al or Severus if she spoke to either of them. It was just stupid - Al wouldn't explain anything beyond 'embarrassed and ashamed' and she couldn't understand why he wouldn't want to see Mandy. She had been a friend of the family for years and George had been to see her, he'd admitted as much.
The fact that she used Muggle methods instead of wizarding ones was also oddly reassuring to Ginny despite her lack of knowledge about Muggles and their practices; she though the idea of anybody - literally - poking around in Al's head disturbing, even if Al had given Severus permission to do so.
As for his actions and conversation from the other day. It had made her think of Al as a child once again or at least somebody who was running away from any sort of conflict and that worried her. Was he an adult? Did he deal with things in a mature way? She had thought yes initially but her doubts were growing which only made her think this relationship with Severus was wrong. It was one thing if Al was eighteen and an adult... But what if his brain wasn't that of an adult's? How did she know one way or another?
Sick of the doubts plaguing her mind, she finally went to Mandy's office. She knew it was a chance dropping by unannounced but she could wait and she would wait. Al's well-being was the only thing on her mind at present and she needed to know something tangible, something more than she did now.
"Hi Mandy," she said when the other woman appeared from her office after a consultation. "I'm sorry to bother you but do you have a minute? It's important."
