Al smiled. "I don't go out for lunch, I bring it in and occasionally share it with the owls at work. But I will consider altering my routines to seemingly random patterns," he nodded and continued sagely. "For example, my book cleaning routine takes place on the fifteenth and thirty-first every month. Since thirty-first doesn't occur at equal intervals, the bookworms cannot adapt to expect it, unless they infest a book with a calendar in it and learn to read. Which is highly unlikely."
He smiled. "Perhaps I should base my patterns on the weather. Or possibly on throws of dice or knuts. Though tossing a knut to make a decision doesn't make it for you, it just helps you determine the exact priority of desired events in that brief moment the knut is in the air."
