Re: Harry -Albus
"Thinking of you doesn't require much effort," Al answered, whispering back. "In fact, it will require more effort to censor my thoughts to not include you. And they never say anything new about me, just that I look like you did."
He peered at the photographers, trying to recognize their faces and pinpoint who they worked for. It wasn't hard. Several from the Prophet, some from the Quibbler. Quite a few contractors who swung back and forth looking for a better deal.
Bryn wasn't among them.
Al distracted his mind then with the conundrum of Gideon's stone and the format his double dates of birth-death-resurrection-death would take. At first he was tempted to picture them as two date ranges, but resurrection and/or return didn't quite match the event of birth, and if one just specified the birth and the final date of death on the headstone, it would omit quite a significant part of his existence, or non-existence.
Al watched Grandmother at Gideon's grave. Yes, perhaps a set of double dates was closer to reflecting the truth than any other format. However, was the interruption in life's years worth a comma or a semicolon before a new line? Gideon's set had neither, and Al couldn't help but think that a punctuation mark would have been relevant to include.
