Hermione watched as Molly's children, her husband included, surrounded her-comforted her. This time she managed to keep the tears at bay-she'd cried too much these last few days, and she was tired of having her eyeliner and mascara run.
Her children were here as well, huddled up on each side of her. Rose was crying into her shoulder, not even attempting to hold back the tears. Hugo,of course, remained stoic, pretending to comfort her, but she knew who was really comforting who-she could feel him trembling with repressed emotions. She couldn't imagine losing either of them-it would surely break her, just as surely as losing Ron would.
Hugo's trembling got to be too much for her and she let go of Rose, for just a moment, and drew Hugo to her so that he could cry without anyone seeing him-teenage boys emotions were so fragile after all.
"It's okay sweetie, let it out, no one can see you. It's okay to cry, really. I promise I won't let anyone see you."
