Re: Hugo & Ron
Ron repressed a chuckle, though not quite the grin that matched the one his son gave him. As much trouble as they'd gotten into, flying that car had been worth it. Dad wouldn't have let Hugo fly it to school, in any case. So, there was no need to worry about Snape.
Hugo's question should have been expected, but Ron wasn't ready to start thinking about the next five minutes, let alone the next five days, weeks, months without his own father.
"Now," he began, casting a quick helpless glance at Hermione, "we do what we can to help, I suppose. There'll be clean-up in the village. Alex and Roxie are going to need your support. Grandmum, too. And there's still work to be done down in the village." Now that most of the fires were out and the area contained, Ron thought it might be okay if Hugo wanted to come down and help with some of the less dangerous clean-up. For Hugo's good, of course, not because Ron wanted to keep his son nearby. "You can be my assistant, if you like, once I go back, fun stuff like carrying paperwork."
