Rolf smiled, when Luna assured him she would stay. It was probably selfish, asking her to stay here - she should find the boys, make sure they were holding together, get some rest herself. But with Luna, Rolf had always been more than a little selfish. He loved her completely, loved everything about her, and loved having her there with him. "Good, I don't know that I'd make it through the night without you."
"I'm sure they are," They had their adopted family, they'd keep their boys safe while he was here - just like they did when he and Luna were traveling. His main concern was that they were safe, and once they were out of the house away from the town - he felt better about that. "I know they will, they're good boys."
When Luna yawned, Rolf found himself mimicking the gesture. And frowned momentarily, he released the hold he'd had on Luna's hand so he could move himself. He winced skin pulling tight, moving painfully over sore and bruised muscles, and reminding him ever so clearly of the damage that had been done the night before, but he didn't stop until he'd moved over so he was very nearly hanging off the side of the bed, "Come up here." He told her patting the now empty space beside him - and damn anyone who tried to say anything about his offer.
