"Well then, I guess you'll be able to tell if I ever give you one of those looks," he said, giving her one now, only playfully. Not that he wouldn't, but she was classier than some of the girls who threw themselves at him. Those were the girls Jamie had told him about, and Wren very definitely was not like them. She was better.
"For OWLs, and class I guess. Nev--Professor Longbottom has us raising them from seedling to fully grown, so we know what to expect on the OWLs. I chose a fanged geranium, because they're cooler than a Flutterby plant or something like that." Plus, he liked playing the odds of getting bitten each time.
"Yeah, he and my Dad are good friends. I have to remember to call him Professor Longbottom here. It's even harder with Aunt Ginny and Uncle Charlie. Guess that's the bad that comes from having family for teachers." He grinned. "And they don't give any extra favors for it! Bet you know all about that."
