Horrified that Dylan would think that, he rushed to assure him. "No, of course you didn't!" He reached out and squeezed Dylan's hand, not wanting him to blame himself for anything. "And I didn't mean it like that. I just meant, if I'd been better at thinking ahead, or reacting, it would have ended differently. I'm a Ravenclaw, we're supposed to be great at thinking of the big picture, think through consequences."
He shook his head. "No, Jamie has enough to do. I don't want to burden him with training me," he said with a very tiny smile. "And I know you're busy too. I don't want to take away time you need for something else. I'll figure something out." He squeezed Dylan's hand again, and then dropped his hands in his lap suddenly realizing that might not have been appropriate. "Thank you."
