"I never said they were good reason or a justification, but they were his reason, and I'm hoping that you can be the adult and listen to him. That's all." He smiled at Sirius. He loved this boy so, and this was the reason. "I know you wouldn't have. You would have rather died than hurt them, and I can tell that James wouldn't either. They say that opposite attract, but you two are so similar, burning with energy, so very bright. It was why people could never resist you. I always wondered if you could find someone who could see past all of that. I'm glad we're both alive to see that you have."
He looked at Sirius. "I know you don't want to. I'm asking you to do it anyway, because you are older, know more, and because deep down, you remember that at one time you were friends. I'm not telling you to do it, but I'm hoping that you'll find it in your heart to at least listen. You have so much, and he has nothing; give him something, just a little time."
