"Even better." Remus smiled against Regulus' shoulder, where his head had somehow managed to fall. Light, gentle kisses and touches all over his skin were soothing, like cool rain on a hot summer day, and exactly what he needed, even more than admittedly brilliant sex -- that connection.
Breathing evened out, racing pulse slowed, and Remus lifted his head to smile down at the man beneath him. "I told you. I've always been a quick study." And he paid a great deal of attention to Regulus, in and out of bed.
Leaning down, Remus kissed him gently. "Thank you," he said quietly. "For trusting me. For waking up, just being here." For being the one person he could count on to call him on his over-active guilty conscious without dismissing his worries out of hand.
"I don't think I'll have trouble sleeping now," he laughed.
