Re: James/Neville
"I can save you a few cuttings and such if you tell me what you need."
Nodding, he suspected who Jamie might be referencing. You didn't spend years as part of the family without picking up on a few things. "There's usually one in every bunch, unfortunately." He didn't understand it; life was too short to hold grudges against the ones you loved.
Neville was suprised to find that bit of news made him feel better. "I'm glad to hear it, for both of you." Laughing, he said, "Yeah, I've seen that side of him. I think I hold, or held the record for ruined cauldrons."
"It's in the past now, at least as far as I'm concerned. He's got the protection of the school as his main interest, so the rest doesn't matter. And we actually had a civil convesation earlier, so who knows? We may not ever be the best of friends but he's helped you, is helping you, likes Al from what I gather, as well; so he's alright as far as I'm concerned."
"That's how it should be." He was going to like Allison, he thought.
"Good, he'll need someone to spoil him, and make him think his parents are mean. Isn't that how it's suppose to work?" A normal childhood, including all of that, that was all he wanted for his child. "Middle of May, knock wood." He rapped his skull with his knuckles. "Yes, you will get an owl. We haven't discussed the other. I'd say its up to Hannah if she wants me there." He'd imagine she would but that was something they still had to talk about.
"I've been too busy teaching and looking for a house to talk about that." But it was coming on fast, they really needed to plan it all.
