"Yes, I can tell you are." Remus' lips twisted into a soft smirk. "I'll look at fine, tailor made robes. At least the first time, I like to see what I'm getting before spending money." He thought to shake his head reluctantly, declining the offer. But, then he reconsidered. It might be helpful for his plans if he had Regulus along, now that he thought about it. "If the trade off is getting your company, you can make fun all you like. But, you may change your mind when I tell you that I do intend to make some stops in some Muggle stores."
Remus chuckled. "No, let's leave keeping score and comparing notes to James and Sirius."
"I know you don't." Sighing quietly, he pressed his forehead lightly to Regulus', one hand coming up to cup the back of the other man's neck. "I appreciate that you'd let me add to your own wards. I just wish I knew what to make of him. I don't trust him. But, at the same time, I miss my friend."
Remus raised his head, but his hand remained where it was, gentling further until he was no longer seeking comfort in the touch, but offering.
"Yes, I care about you." They wouldn't be having this conversation if he didn't. They wouldn't be doing a number of other things if he didn't, either. "I wouldn't worry about your safety or your happiness even half as much as I do if I didn't care about you, Regulus."
