As often happened in sessions like these, once Alex started talking, it didn't stop for awhile. She nodded in some places, and mentally noted some others to come back to, but didn't stop him until he trailed off naturally. There were several topics of interest, a few of concern, but it was a good starting place.
She knew the Weasleys, had gone to school with many of them, was friends with a few more, and her son was friends and housemates with several. And they were loud, energetic and outspoken in general, so she could see how someone quieter and less flamboyant could feel lost at sea.
"You bring up a few very interesting topics that I'd like for us to talk about, all of which I think are important," she said once he was done, taking a sip of the hot chocolate. "So let's start at the end, because I have a feeling it's the most pressing at the moment. You said you don't want to look like anyone but me, but that it's not okay anymore.
