"This is about Mona?" George asked, only barely keeping from shouting. "You're screwing your life up for a girl?" He remembered being sixteen and crazy over someone, but never like this. "Do you know how messed up that is? I know you're worried about her, but to let her control your life like this, well you might as well just give up completely."
He held up a hand to stop any comments, and continued. "Nevermind, I don't want to hear it. I'm going to tell you what's going to happen and you're going to do it. And if you argue, you're done. I'll take you out of Hogwarts and you'll stay with me at the shop all day, everyday. And when you're not there you'll be with your mother." He was not joking, and it was evident in his expression.
"However, I've talked with your professors, and I know you've been told by the Headmaster what you'll do. Added to that I've set up a therapy appointment. You'll come home directly after school tomorrow and we'll meet with her. And then you'll see her on Sunday, and twice next week. I am looking into seeing if it will be possible to continue them while you're at Hogwarts." He held up his hand again before Alex could speak.
"I've already put a surveillance charm in your room. I will know if you drink again. When you're back at Hogwarts you will check in with Professor Corner every evening, in addition to the conditions Professors Black and Snape have set forward." He paused for breath and continued. "This is your last chance. You will be expelled if you slip again. Do you understand?"
