Remus was working on practicalities that evening. Not a book of poetry or rambling prose in sight. Or, at least, not sitting on the couch or atop the table where he was working through a budget with more funds available than he'd seen in at least a year. He was fairly certain he could manage to get most of the practical necessities he still needed to handle out of the way and be able to start saving real funds with the next month.
When the knock came at his door, it was a pleasant surprise to find James on the other side. "Just you is just fine," he said with a chuckle, standing aside to let the younger man enter. James didn't have Sirius' knack for wording to make Remus blush at a reference to any private activity he and Regulus might indulge in, but the werewolf did shake his head.
"So what can I do for you this evening?" He took his seat on the couch once more after waving his visitor into a chair. "Business, pleasure, or a little of both?"
