She really hadn't wanted to take the potions, but that morning, Dominique really hadn't been in any position to refuse them either. Blinking blearily as she came to, she tried to sort out her thoughts. While it was true Wolfsbane helped to keep the human mind and memory, everything was a jumble. Blood and fear were bright and she could still feel the taste of blood against her tongue. There were pieces of memories of Dylan, Ted, and Remus, but none that she could piece together right now.
Turning her head to the side, she let out small smile when she saw her father sitting there beside her bed. Always a constant, even if she didn't want him to be.
"Hi Daddy," she whispered, her voice rough and cracking at the end.
Somewhere along the way she could feel her lip crack and split. Dominique tried not to grimace as the taste of blood invaded her mouth once more. It brought back thoughts of the previous night that were best left for later.
