"Well I wasn't planned either, and the result was my mum continuing on as if I hadn't been born," he said, stepping up to her, a smile on his face as he squeezed her shoulder a bit. "If you ever need a reality check on good and bad mothers, I'm happy to remind you what a good mother you are," he said.
"Oh we likely will use the potion on these gusy. There is paperwork involved but by this afternoon perhaps? They would definitely be classified as serious enough," he explained. "And yeah, they get executed." He slight shiver went through him at that, thinking that he'd likely be expected to attend this time around. He wasn't looking forward to it. "There won't even be a trial," he said, and as necessary as it was to catch these guys that just didn't sit well with him at all. It was probably conveyed in his voice too. Easier then to focus on the rest.
"Is it really that different from the muggle world?" he asked. "Or do you have ways to keep track of everyone infected with serious deceases?" he asked. "It wouldn't even work. Magic only goes so far. Those who report to the hospital when turned are registered. Those who are turned and kept from the system is another matter. There is really no way to get those, is there? That's where Aurors and the Department of Magical Creatures comes in, our task is to find those who don't respect the law and bring them in."
"Hey now, there is no need to worry," Dylan said confidently, giving her a hug. "This is Jamie we're talking about," he said as he pulled back, though he kept his hands on her shoulders. "Look, Muggle cops kill too, don't they? When it's necessary? It's not like he's going around killing random robber. He saved a kid from someone very dangerous." He frowned. "If you'd seen what they do to children. Gods you so don't want to know."
