"Generally speaking yes." Michael nodded, glad to see Wren eating, even if it was just bacon for the time being.
He let her work things out as she spoke taking a few bites himself while he listened to her. "You're not all together wrong." He told her and paused. "You would be surprised just how little effort one needs to exert once they have power in order to keep it - especially when it is taken by force."
"Look at England's history for example, power has been taken and given and then taken again for centuries, but the country hasn't fallen apart." Wizards might have been separate from the Muggles who felt they ruled the world, but that didn't mean they didn't pay attention to their power struggles. "It's in the taking of the power where you make your point, you kill your biggest opposition and then everyone else will leave you alone."
He shrugged. "I think if Voldemort ever did truly take power it wouldn't be too difficult for him to keep it." Because for him to truly take power he would have to kill some very important people to those who opposed him.
