Hugo was attempting to study. Ever since they'd announced the Defense League--not War Games, as he'd learned after calling them such around Professor Black and getting detention--he'd decided that he wanted to win. Well, wanted his team to win anyway. And that meant actually studying. But since it was for such a good cause, he didn't mind. Much.
But he'd been at it for all of his free period, and then he'd gone back again after Potions, wanting to finish the chapter he'd been reading in Ancient Defenses: A Guide before going home. It was one of the books that had to stay in the library, so he had to read as much as he could.
However, it was very distracting when a pretty girl was sitting across from him. Her hair was very shiny, and he couldn't look away. Finally he decided he wasn't going to get any more reading done, and grinned at her, before getting up and sliding over to her table.
"Hey," he said, peering at the book she was reading and mentally groaning. "Really? Hogwarts, A History? When there are so many other books that are far more interesting."
