Michael rolled his eyes. "I don't have to tell you anything simply because you're my daughter, you silly girl." He would focus on that and not Hugo for now, and later when it was just he and Terry they would talk about keeping the boy away from his daughter.
He couldn't help laughing though at the look on Terry's face when Wren asked why he wasn't married. "Not everyone wants or even needs to get married to be happy, love." He told his daughter, smirking at Terry. "Not everyone is suited to it, or like with me, I have other more important things - like you - which take up my time." He shrugged. "I thought about marrying your mother years ago, but she has her dancing."
"And neither of us are that old yet, love. We've still got plenty of time to get married if the urge ever strikes." He grinned. "Who knows, maybe even Uncle Terry will change his mind."
