RP: Peter, Al Who: Al, Peter Where: Hogwarts When: 6 p.m., 23 January, 2025 Rating/Warnings: Summary: Armed with books, Al is ready to review the Arithmancy lesson plans
Al prepared for his meeting with Professor Pettigrew by looking over the lesson plans, the provided book list, and the required reading material. He was quite proud of the fact that he had to drop by the library only for the four of the indicated books, and only so he could track down the more current editions.
On Saturday afternoon, he gathered all of the Arithmancy books in his collection, including the recent editions from the library. As he did so, his eyes fell on other titles purchased from a Muggle bookstore which his mind's classification system usually placed in the same stack and group as 'Arithmancy-themed'.
They were a set and they belonged together. The Player's Handbook, said the first, and it was full of useful rules which attracted Al to it in the first place. The Dungeon Master's Guide held even more rules and regulations within and had Al going over it several times in fascination. Monstrous Compendium said the third.
They weren't on Professor Pettigrew's list of approved or even recommended material, but after short moment of consideration Al grabbed them as well, placing them at the top of the stack.
It's better to bring along everything I've got, just in case.
Besides, how can anyone not like an activity which requires three rulebooks and has the name like 'Dungeons & Dragons'?
